Discover an exciting collection of science games, experiments and activities!

We’ve created an updated version of our Activity Book that includes 36 brand new exciting experiments and activities from many different departments and agencies within the Government of Canada. This new version accommodates different age groups and skill levels as the experiments and activities are tailored for different levels of difficulty and understanding. This is a great way to encourage everyone to challenge their inner scientist.

As well, this year’s Activity Book includes SPECIAL SPACE ACTIVITIES!

In December 2012, Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield will be blasting off to space to live and work aboard the International Space Station (ISS) for six months. During this time, he will become the FIRST Canadian Commander of the ISS. Also this year, it is the 50th anniversary of Alouette I, the first Canadian satellite to be sent to space! So in the spirit of these exciting, OUT OF THIS WORLD events, the Science.gc.ca team has created an activity book with special space-related activities in addition to the regular science activities. With your friends, class, camp group, or by yourself, you can build your own space suit and be just like Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield, or learn about the effects microgravity has on the human body.

The Activity Books were assembled by the team responsible for Science.gc.ca - the official Government of Canada website for Science and Technology information and resources.

Our Activity Books contain a series of individual experiments and activities that can be printed independently of each other. So, if you would like to learn how to Build a Spacesuit, Make a Model Comet, or Build a Thermometer, you can download these activities now.
