Expedition Arctic Canadian Museum of Nature Expedition Arctic is a bilingual online project aimed at youth aged 14 to 29. The site was produced by the Canadian Museum of Nature and Students on Ice, in collaboration with the Virtual Museum of Canada. It follows four experts from the Canadian Museum of Nature and two teenage participants during an expedition to Canada’s Eastern Arctic and western Greenland in July 2012. There are documentary HD videos, interactive maps, gorgeous landscapes, colourful photos, and blog posts that enliven this journey of discovery to reveal some of the biodiversity associated with the Arctic (mammals, plants, fossils and algae). The site also includes lesson plans for teachers and in-depth profiles of 28 specimens from the Canadian Museum of Nature’s world-class Arctic collections.
